Carriage House Thin Brick Veneer
This look is accomplished by setting any thin brick and filling the joints with an Ardex White Brilliant Grout. The grout is spread with a sponge creating the look you desire. You can show more brick or less by how much grout you use. This is a take off of the German Smear technique.
German smear, sometimes called German schmear, is a traditional masonry finishing technique that uses mortar applied over the face of brick and partially removed to create a hand-crafted, old-world European appearance. Unlike whitewashing, German smear adds texture and dimension by leaving heavier mortar coverage in selected areas while allowing portions of the brick to remain exposed.
