Brick
The three types of Brick we sell at Plymouth Quarries; Paver Brick, Cored Brick, and Solid Brick examples (left to right)
“Cored” means “not solid”. Cored bricks come with holes or cores in their cross section area. These cores reduce the weight of the brick and allow for faster firing of the brick when they are being manufactured. Cored/Solid Bricks are usually used for facades, steps, chimneys and fireplaces.
Paver bricks are solids that can be used for paving projects such as walkways, patios, aprons and platforms. They come in a variety of color blends. All bricks used for paving are solid but not all solid bricks can be used for paving.
